Iran's Election

Got this pic via Twitter. It looks like the photo of the rally for Ahmadinejad has been photoshoped to show more supporters.

If you have more pics of the rallies and protests in Iran, please upload them to this site. We want to hear from the people in Iran!

Israel's response to Obama's speech

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently gave a speech endorsing a two-state solution by creating a Palestinian state. However, the offer comes with a lot of conditions: demilitarizing Palestine, Jerusalem would be under the full control of Israel, and Palestinian refugees would not be allowed to come back to Israel. He also did not mention the issue of Jewish settlements, which Obama had specifically addressed in his speech in Cairo.

Iran's Elections

The result of the Iranian elections has been quite surprising considering the turnout, which would imply that Iranians wanted change. But it looks like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is here to stay.
Demonstrators protested in violent riots in Iran saying the election was rigged. Was it?

Obama's speech in Cairo

Obama has exceeded my expectation and they were pretty high! It is time for the Arab and Muslim world to take the hand that has been extended to them. There is no time for waiting, complaining and being skeptical. There is an opportunity now, take it or leave it. It can't get any better than that.

Here is the video of the speech:

Do you agree with Bin Laden's statement concerning Obama?

Obama chose Egypt

Obama has finally chosen the country to deliver his speech to the Muslim world: Egypt. Again, an easy and predictable choice. Egypt plays an important role in the Middle East, but maybe choosing a different, perhaps more controversial country, would have highlighted the "change" in the way the administration will deal with the region.

I came across this map on the Internet and while I don't know who is the author behind it, I found it quite controversial. What do you think?
