An Italian court has convicted 23 Americans and two Italians of the kidnap of Abu Omar, from Milan and sending him to Egypt, where he was allegedly tortured for years.

It is not surprising that the Americans were all tried in their absence since the US refused to extradite them. But what happens to the "alleged" torturing. Did it really happen and if it did, who did it and will they get convicted as well?
